Understanding Your Work as a Learning Process
How does it feel to become a Quipper Champion?
As a Quipperior who is still learning myself and who realizes that there are many things I have not mastered, I feel that I do not deserve to get this award of Quipper Champion. However, this becomes a drive for me to continue giving the best contribution that I can. I dedicate this award for all Quipperiors who have worked hard for the past year. I truly realize that we have all worked hard under one vision and mission for the betterment of Indonesia’s education.
Do you think you deserve or not? Why?
I believe that everyone, wherever they work, deserves to get an appreciation for what they have done. Being a Quipper Champion, I am driven to strive for giving my best contribution and to work harder in the following year. That is the only way I can truly be a part of “Distributor of Wisdom”.
What have you discovered so far, being here in Quipper?
I discovered that everyone has their own capacity in delivering their ideas in a way that is very educative. While implementing Quipper’s fifth identity — growth- I realize that everyone needs to grow. Not only that I am given the trust and freedom to explore, but also I am given an appreciation for this. Thus, I will give my best for the company. Maybe this is what I define as loyalty in working.
What makes you passionate about work?
Up to this moment, I still position myself as a student. I make Quipper as an analogy for school. Going to work feels like going to school; I go with high enthusiasm for all the new things I will learn. I see my supervisors and my colleagues as teachers who are teaching me in class. How a company excels is very dependent on the people within the company. I am very thankful for being in a company like Quipper which supports me and gives me room to learn with guidance and constructive feedback given along the way. This learning and experience are the drives that keep me going at work. I shall continue implementing it professionally at work and personally in my life.
What makes you decide to work at Quipper?
My interest in Quipper starts back in 2017 when I was a member of YLI (Young Leaders for Indonesia), a leadership development program for university students. It just so happened that YLI had a partnership with Quipper and I was one of the members who was assigned as an intern at Quipper. I started my career here as a Market Research Intern for Quipper Campus. During my intern days, I experienced a very positive environment and culture for learning. I was surrounded by people who welcome discussion not only on work, but also on life experience.
Working with people with similar passion on education made me realize that I am in the right place. Because in addition to being employed, the opportunity to learn, and financial incentives, working for Quipper means that I am playing a role in kick starting the success of many other people.
Messages for Quipperior
I feel that all of the Quipperiors have worked hard on what becomes their responsibilities. My message for Quipperiors is only “trust, breathe, and rest”. “There is so much more ahead… and oh! Don’t forget to have fun too!”
